Mats Söderström

Mats Söderström researches precision agriculture and pedometrics in the Department of Soil and Environment at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Skara, Sweden. He was a pioneer in the field of precision agriculture in Sweden, and has been active in this field for 25 years. Mats has a multitude of experience in geographic data management and spatial analysis. He focuses on applied research, often involving GIS, GPS, geostatistics and remote and proximal sensing of soil and crops. He is interested in developing sensor methods for the efficient mapping of Amazonian Dark Earths.
